- Carer’s Allowance & the Carer Premium

            Carer’s allowance (CA) is the main state benefit for carers.  Before April 2003 it was called invalid care allowance.

- Community Care Grant
- 
            The Community Care Grant does not have to be repaid. Such a grant can be claimed if you are getting income support or likely to get it within six weeks. This could be where you are expected to leave a hospital, nursing home or prison, etc, and then claim income support.

- What is Direct Payment?
