Sahara - Asian Carer Project
Service Offered
Support for Asian people who are caring for someone due to illness, disability or frailty. Drop-in, advice and information on benefits, housing, health, HIV/AIDS, respite care. Support and advice for young Asian carers and for carers of people with mental health problems and dementia. Partnership with Chinese Mental Health Project. Young Asian people's forum - peer support, advice and activities.
Target Group
Asian carers, including older carers aged 60+ and young carers. Young Asian people.
Languages
Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.
Area Served
London Borough of Greenwich. Partnership with Chinese Mental Health Project in Tower Hamlets.
